Gentle Yoga & Breathwork: Learning to Breathe in the time of COVID-19

Breathing is often taken for granted as an automatic process, not requiring thought or work. In these trying times, illness, chronic conditions affecting the breath, as well as strong emotions can take our breath away. Practice gentle seated and lying down yoga postures to expand the ribs, open the chest and free the neck and shoulders, allowing for more freedom with each breath. Learn and practice several breathing techniques (Pranayama) to free the breath, engage the mind and calm the body.
