Stoughton Health Receives Five Star Rating for Patient Experience

Stoughton Health received a five star rating when the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) recently released updated patient experience star ratings. CMS has assigned a Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) summary star rating to a total of 3,478 hospitals as of July 31. CMS’ summary star rating scores hospitals on a one-to-five-star scale with one being low and five high.  The star rating is based on the 10 publicly reported measures in the HCAHPS survey, which assesses patient experiences. The most common overall hospital rating is three stars. Stoughton Hospital is one of only 266 hospital nationwide to receive a five star rating.
