Arthritis Foundation Wisconsin Names Dr. Ashish Rawal Medical Honoree for the Oktoberfest Ride for Arthritis

Stoughton Health’s OrthoTeam Clinic Orthopaedic Surgeon, Ashish Rawal, M.D. has been named the 2022 Medical Honoree for the inaugural Oktoberfest Ride for Arthritis. As Medical Honoree, Dr. Rawal will help the Arthritis Foundation meet its fundraising goal of $35,000 and increase awareness of arthritis – the No. 1 cause of disability in America – throughout the community.

“I am thrilled to be named the Oktoberfest Ride for Arthritis Honoree in support of the Wisconsin Arthritis Foundation,” said Dr. Rawal. “As a surgeon that sees many patients with arthritis, I am passionate about improving patients’ quality of life which is also the mission of the Arthritis Foundation. I hope that the community with join me in supporting the ride and all those suffering with arthritis.”

You can join Dr. Rawal and his team at the Oktoberfest Ride for Arthritis on Saturday, September 17, starting and ending at Funk’s Pub in Fitchburg. Riders can choose to participate in the 100K, 50K, 25K Beginner Ride or 5K Family Ride followed by a post-party with Oktoberfest-themed food and beverages and live music by Kev & Matt. Non-riders can join in the fun as well by purchasing a Post-Party Only ticket.

Funds raised at the Oktoberfest Ride for Arthritis will support research initiatives, fund rheumatology fellows to alleviate the shortage as well as locally support our Camp M.A.S.H. (Make Arthritis Stop Hurting) for children in Wisconsin suffering from juvenile arthritis.

The Oktoberfest Ride for Arthritis is supported by AbbVie and locally by OrthoTeam Clinic, Supreme Structures, MP Squared Structural Engineers, Sketchworks Architecture, Capitol Bank, Wolf/SubZero/COVE and UW Health.
