Stoughton Hospital is celebrating 10 years as a Dementia Friendly Hospital, marking a decade of commitment to providing compassionate, personalized care for individuals living with dementia and their families.
Since becoming a Dementia Friendly Hospital in 2016, Stoughton Hospital has enhanced staff education, strengthened patient-centered care practices, and created a supportive environment focused on the unique needs of patients affected by dementia.
“At Stoughton Hospital, we recognize that caring for individuals living with dementia requires patience, understanding, and a personalized approach,” said Heather Kleinbrook, Manager of Inpatient Services at Stoughton Hospital. “We are proud of this milestone and remain dedicated to providing compassionate care and support for patients and their families.”
Looking ahead, Stoughton Hospital is partnering with the University of Wisconsin on a pilot program designed to enhance support for care partners as they help loved ones navigate the dementia journey.
