The Stoughton Lions Club and the Rotary Club of Stoughton donated two recycled benches to Stoughton Health, located outside the hospital’s main entrance and Emergency Department. These benches provide a welcoming space for patients, visitors, and community members.
The benches are part of the clubs’ Plastic Recycling Program, which—together with Sand Hill Elementary School and community members—collect about 8,000 pounds (4 tons) of plastic each year. That plastic is repurposed into durable, usable items.
“We are grateful for this donation,” said Stoughton Health Foundation Executive Director, Laura Mays. “T
he benches represent not only a valuable addition for our patients, but also highlight the impact we can make when our community comes together.”
