Dan DeGroot, President/CEO of Stoughton Health, will retire on December 6, 2024, after nearly seven years of leadership and over four decades in healthcare. Under his guidance, Stoughton Health expanded significantly, including opening the McFarland Urgent Care Clinic, acquiring the Community Health and Wellness Center, opening the Cottage Grove Urgent Care Clinic, expanding Oregon Urgent Care and Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine Clinic, and launching a 56,000-square-foot Medical Outpatient Center set to open in 2025. DeGroot’s collaborative efforts and focus on expanding healthcare services have left a lasting impact on the community.

With DeGroot’s retirement, Stoughton Health is pleased to announce the appointment of Christopher Brabant to serve as the organization’s next President and CEO. Previously serving as President and CEO of HSHS St. Clare Memorial Hospital, Brabant brings extensive experience in hospital operations, strategic planning, and community relations. Brabant holds a Master of Business Administration with a focus on Health Care Administration, he is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and is certified by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion. “I’m excited to be part of Stoughton Health and look forward to the continued growth and personalized health services that Stoughton Health is known for,” added Brabant.
