With the release of its annual Community Benefits Report, the Wisconsin Hospital Association (WHA) announced Stoughton Health’s astounding contribution of $4,490,874 worth of community benefits and charity care in FY2023. This achievement exemplifies Stoughton Health’s commitment to the well-being and betterment of the greater community. One of the projects highlighted in WHA’s 2024 Community Benefits Report is Stoughton Health offering free Hands-Only CPR (COCPR) training, empowering residents with life-saving skills. This initiative not only enhanced public safety but also fostered confidence and preparedness, making a lasting impact on the well-being of the greater community.
Class participant Bonnie Weidner said, “I feel confident now that I can truly make a difference in an emergency. It is empowering to know that I could potentially save a life. I shared what I learned with my neighbors and friends and encouraged them to take the class as well. We joked that we can now be each other’s superheroes!”
The next free COCPR training is scheduled for April 22. Registration is available at www. stoughtonhealth.com/events/. By investing in programs that support local well-being, Stoughton Health continues to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those it serves.
