Stoughton Health recently welcomed Wisconsin State Senator Melissa Ratcliff and her Chief of Staff, Ben Gebhart, for a visit with the hospital’s senior leadership team to discuss key issues affecting healthcare in our community
During the meeting, hospital leaders shared insights on challenges facing healthcare providers, including the impact of prior authorization requirements on patient access to timely care. The group also discussed the importance of maintaining high-quality healthcare services while supporting and engaging the workforce that makes exceptional patient care possible.
Following the discussion, Senator Ratcliff and Mr. Gebhart toured Stoughton Health’s Geriatric Psychiatry Unit, where they learned more about the specialized services provided to patients and the care environment designed to support their needs.
“We appreciate the opportunity to host Senator Ratcliff and discuss the healthcare issues that matter most to our patients and community,” said Chris Brabant, President and CEO of Stoughton Health. “Conversations like these help strengthen partnerships, increase understanding of the challenges facing healthcare providers, and support our shared commitment to ensuring access to high-quality care close to home.”
