The Science of Pain: Better understanding of how pain works and what you can do about it

Pain is complicated. Fortunately, there is growing research on how pain works. It has been shown that teaching people with pain about the neuroscience of their pain produces immediate and long-term changes. Education helps with reducing pain, disability, and psychosocial problems as well as assists with improving mobility and increasing activity tolerance.
